We don’t know about you, but July is just flying by … which we guess means that we are having fun! The Taste Tweed – Winter Food Festival has been keeping us all very busy – but the best is yet to come!
Saturday 21st July – Salt Village Market
Get out of the house and enjoy this amazing Winter sunshine … and what better place to do that than at the Salt Village Market.
This month, we have the wonderful Martin Way serenading you whilst you enjoy lots of browsing, shopping and eating – with all our favourite Food Trucks joining us – Kransky Bros, Gozleme World, Surf Burger, Peace of Cake Bakeries … and so much more!
Bring the family and friends … and we are even dog friendly (as long as they are on a lead!) Market runs from 8am till 2pm.
Saturday 21st July – Taverna’s Taste the Tweed Lunch
Join our Taste Tweed friends at Taverna for a sharing banquet of some of the Tweed Coast’s finest ingredients.
At Taverna, they pride themselves in bringing us the best local produce available, and on Saturday, they are preparing a feast of local fare.
Partnering with award-winning Tumbulgum distillers Husk to bring you cocktails, lunch will be a locally sourced, progressive sharing menu for only $55 per person – including a Husk cocktail of your choice!
Seats are limited and bookings are ESSENTIAL – and can be made online here … please note “Taste the Tweed” in your booking.

Sunday 22nd July – Pickled Pig Brewery Open Day
Meet the Brewers … LITERALLY! Owners of the Pickled Pig Brewery, Paul and Christine Brewer are opening their doors to Taste Tweed Festival goers. There is nothing more Australian than a beer & a BBQ, so join us for a tour of the brewery (12noon and 1.30pm) and learn about the techniques that make their business a success whilst enjoying several of their choice beers, ciders and their ever popular Jinja Beer. A BBQ lunch is included in the ticket price as are some tasters of their beers to help wash all that goodness down!
Tickets are essential and can be purchased right here … and at only $25 per person … you just KNOW you need to be there!
Saturday 28th July – BLANC de BEACH
Proudly sponsored by Stone and Wood … what would be finer than a day in the park, dressed in your whites, enjoying a day of fabulous food, live entertainment, beers, wines and our magical winter sunshine?
Join us in Central Park, Salt Village Kingscliff for this licensed event on Saturday 28th July – 11am to 7pm.
NO BYO drinks or foods please as we will have a tantalising array for you to choose from … beers by Stone and Wood, ciders by Pickled Pig Brewery and wines by I Love Aussie Wines will be available for purchase during the event as well as a tasty range of internationally inspired cuisines and other beverages.
Dress in WHITE … and be creative. **Prize for best dressed group (2 or more people)
BRING your picnic rugs, chairs, tables, umbrellas … heck … even a small tent … and enjoy a day out with live entertainment, food and drink from 11am to 7pm.
Gate entry is FREE and will be managed by security.
Please note … NO eskies or glass or food to be brought into Central Park into this event space. Bags may be searched upon entry.
This is a FAMILY friendly event and we welcome happy event attendees.
Drink service will conclude at 6.30pm and you are welcome to enjoy the many surrounding restaurants, cafes and tavern in the Resort Precinct.
