Kingscliff Night Markets this week as well as Week 2 of Taste Tweed

Well – what a wonderful time to be in our magical corner of the world … beautiful, clear, winter days and heaps going on!

This Friday (6th July) is the Kingscliff Night Market.  Join us at Lions Park on Marine Parade from 4pm, and feast on our international food precinct, shop madly and then find a spot to chill to the live entertainment on the main stage.

As usual, there will be FREE face-painting for the kids, as well as the Petting Zoo for them to give (and receive) warm and toasty cuddles with all the little critters.

So make it a place to catchup with friends and family, and enjoy the ambience of our beautiful seaside location.

Taste Tweed – Winter Food Festival

We are well into week 1 of the Taste Tweed – Winter Food Festival 2018 and it has been nothing short of fun and exciting!  We’ve had a Pyjama Party, river cruises and a trivia night … and week 2 is shaping up to be even bigger and better.

Here’s what’s on the schedule …

Saturday 7th July

The Season Lazy Long Lunch will be happening EVERY Saturday in July at 12:30pm.  There will be a different ‘feature product’ each week, foraged from our local farmers and prepared by Executive Chef Craig ‘Robbo’ Robertson.  This week’s feature is Cheesus Loves U.  For just $50 per person, you will enjoy a welcome drink, local supplier tasting station and a mystery 6-course lunch served to share with your friends or family.  To book, call (02) 6674 7766 or email the team at [email protected]

Also happening EVERY Saturday in July is the Brothers Cafe Restaurant and Bar “Beef and Bottles” night.  The team will be pairing a series of delicious beef dishes with some of their beautiful wines.  Book today by calling (02) 6674 8499 or via their website.

Sunday 8th July

One of our favourite tours every year is The Taste Tweed Cycle Tour.  Ride along the spectacular Kingscliff Foreshore & Tweed River bank towards Fingal Head Lighthouse.  Soak up views of the Giants Causeway, Cook Island and watch for whales, dolphins and the vast array of local bird life.  Head back to Kingsliff via Chinderah for a well-earned seafood tasting lunch.  This one sells out FAST – so book online via the Taste Tweed website.

Monday 9th July

The Taste Tweed Fashion and Food Show is back again this year.  This is a fantastic day enjoyed by those who LOVE fashion, enjoy BUBBLY and of course, FOOD!   Meeting at Brothers Restaurant on Marine Parade at 10am, your progressive fashion, tasting and beverage tour finishes at Kingscliff Surf Club with a light lunch and drink overlooking our beautiful coastline.  There are always other little surprises and much laughter throughout the day – tickets are $40 per person and available online.

This Monday – and EVERY Monday in July, you can Shank goodness it’s Monday at The Surf Club Kingscliff.  Devour a delicious lamb shank and mash meal for only $13 per person.  Reservations can be made direct with the Club on (02) 6674 1572.

Tuesday 10th July

The Tweed Chamber of Commerce and Industry Networking breakfast is featuring one of the Taste Tweed Festival’s major sponsors, Stone and Wood.  Hear their story and meet some of their team at this great networking event.  For more information, check out the Chamber’s website.

Wednesday 11th July

This is another Festival Favourite … The Tweed Walk the Wharf Tour.  Meet next to the Tweed Endeavor Cruise Office at the Tweed Marina where we will begin our morning stroll. Enjoy a relaxing few hours as we visit the wharf and stroll along the river learning a bit about our local fishing industry and history of the area. Our walk will conclude in Ray Pascoe Park with a light lunch of local Fish and Chips!  Tickets only $25 for adults and $15 for children (12yrs and under).  Bookings via the Taste Tweed website.

Mt Warning Tours will also be running their 3-hour, 5-course seafood degustation cruise EVERY Wednesday.  Departing at 10.30am, bookings can be made direct with Mt Warning Tours.  Cost is $119 per person.

Thursday 12th July

Kombies on the Coast Taste Tweed Collectables Tour … This one is for all those who love rummaging around collectable stores and enjoying good coffee!  Kombies on the Coast will take us on this unique walk and drive tour to the trending area of Tweed to enjoy visits to popular food stops and collectable stores!  We finish with a banquet lunch after working up quite the appetite!  Bookings essential via the Taste Tweed website.

Friday 13th July

Unlucky for some … but not for Taste Tweed!  We have 2 events today.

Get in just before Bastille Day and learn how to make crepes with a 4th generation Crepier from Brittany.   Meet Chef Damien Pigot at his French creperie and deli, 3Sea Café.  This is a once in a life time opportunity to learn from the best.  Limited spaces so book now!!!

Celebrate Black Friday by heading to Pickled Pig Brewery for a Mexican Fiesta!  There will be plenty of Mexican food, music and the brewers will be making some special Mexican brews for you to try!  Head to our website for more details.

We hate wishing time away – but we CAN’T WAIT for these events!!!  Spaces are filling quickly – so make sure you guarantee your spot by heading to our website or downloading our app (Taste Tweed on Google Play and i_Tunes).
